Clover’s

Clovers Diner Skaneateles

Every town worth its salt has that one breakfast spot. The one where locals go on a Saturday morning. Where the coffee is always hot and the portions are always honest. In Skaneateles, that place is Clover’s.

Clover’s sits on Jordan Street just off the main drag. It’s a proper diner in the best sense of the word — no fuss, no pretence, just good food at fair prices. In a village like Skaneateles, that’s genuinely refreshing. Furthermore, it’s the kind of place where you can bring the whole family and actually relax.

The menu is exactly what you want from a breakfast and lunch spot. Think fluffy pancakes, build-your-own omelets, French toast, and hearty home fries. The corned beef hash is also a crowd-pleaser. And if you’re after something more substantial, the steak and eggs will set you up for the day. Lunch then brings burgers, sandwiches, quesadillas, and salads — simple, satisfying, and well priced throughout.

Like Elephant and The Dove just down the road, Clover’s is another Adam Weitsman venture. In addition, it fits right in with his knack for giving a community exactly what it needs. As a result, this one is squarely for the locals — and for visitors smart enough to eat where the locals eat.

You’ll find them at 22 Jordan Street. They’re open Monday through Friday from 7am to 2pm. Saturdays they run until 3pm. Get there a little early on weekends — word has gotten out.
