In summer, families spread out on the lawns, kids jump from the dock, and kayakers drift across the glassy surface. There’s plenty to do on the water too. Mid-Lakes Navigation runs scenic cruises and the famous Mailboat tour from the village dock. The marina rents kayaks, paddleboards, and boats for those who want to explore independently. Fishing is also popular throughout the season. In autumn the lake takes on a different, quieter beauty. The wooded hillsides around the shoreline turn spectacular, and the village empties just enough to feel like yours.
