Tim’s Pumpkin Patch

Tims Pumpkin Patch Marietta NY

If autumn in Central New York had an official headquarters, Tim’s Pumpkin Patch in Marietta would have a strong claim to the title. What started as a small pumpkin stand in 1986 has grown into one of the most beloved fall destinations in the region. And on a crisp October weekend, it absolutely earns that status.

The pumpkin patch is the centrepiece. It spans 40 acres of rolling Rose Hill farmland. Grab a wheelbarrow and head out to find your perfect pumpkin. The views across the hills alone make the trip worthwhile. Furthermore, the selection is extraordinary. From small pie pumpkins to giant statement pieces, specialty gourds, Indian corn, and wildflowers — this is a proper harvest experience. It’s not a quick shop. It’s an afternoon.

Beyond the pumpkins, Tim’s packs in a full day of activities. The corn maze is a genuine challenge. Tractor wagon rides roll through the patch with the full autumn scenery on display. The Hay Fort — a large maze built from 700lb straw bales — is a favourite for all ages. Additionally, the animal barn lets you feed and meet the farm residents. And the grain bin, filled with corn or wheat depending on the year, doubles as a giant sandbox. Kids find it very hard to leave.

The food also deserves its own moment. The bakery turns out homemade treats throughout the season. On weekends, meanwhile, the pumpkin funnel cakes, apple cider donut sundaes, and apple fritter sundaes are the kind of seasonal treats that make autumn feel like something to celebrate. Dogs are welcome too.

Tim’s opens at the end of August and runs through October. Find them at 2901 Rose Hill Road, Marietta. Go on a weekday if you can — it gets busy on weekends, and for good reason.
