Good Eats & Sips

Good Eats and Sips skaneateles

Skaneateles has no shortage of great places to eat. But until GOOD Eats & Sips arrived on West Genesee Street, the village lacked somewhere genuinely focused on fresh, wholesome, feel-good food. Award-winning Chef Don Agate and his wife Marie-Helene Gingras spotted that gap and filled it beautifully. Together, they bring over 40 years of hospitality experience to the table.

The concept is fast-casual but the kitchen executes it thoughtfully. It’s the kind of place where you can pop in for a great coffee and a bagel on your way to the lake, grab a nourishing bowl for lunch, or settle in and stay a while. The menu spans smoothies, specialty coffee drinks, grain bowls, noodle bowls, salads, smoothie bowls, and bagels. Furthermore, the kitchen builds everything around fresh ingredients with plenty of gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options throughout. The housemade lemonades and creative specialty drinks are also worth exploring — seasonal, inventive, and genuinely good.

What makes GOOD stand out beyond the menu is how seriously the team takes dietary needs. The staff are knowledgeable and careful about cross-contamination. As a result, guests with celiac disease and other food sensitivities consistently praise the experience here. In a town full of restaurants, finding somewhere that does this well — and makes it all taste delicious — is a real find.

The location sits right on West Genesee Street, directly across from the lake. It’s therefore a natural stop at any point in the day. Additionally, a second grab-and-go location on Seneca Turnpike serves those coming from Marcellus or Camillus. The team also offers home delivery, weekly meal plans, and catering services for events of all sizes.

Find the main café at 18 West Genesee Street. They’re open Tuesday through Saturday from 7am to 5pm. Closed Sundays and Mondays.
